It's awards season; BFC Designer Of The Year.

Tonight is the British Fashion Council's; British Fashion Awards 2010 and on the shortlist for the Designer Of The Year is Erdem (I adore Erdem, with the exceptional use of print and colour this label is one of a kind for British fashion, dark, enchanting and captivating. I am backing this beautiful label myself to win). Other nominees cont... are Christopher Kane, an incredibly upbeat designer with a contemporary use of colour palettes and impactful digital print finishes.
And finally Phoebe Philo for Celine; who i know through personal friends has an immense amount of admiration among the fashion industry and with such key and inspirational catwalk shows of late that are not to be missed.

Other categories include Accessories Designer Of The Year and a special outstanding contribution to fashion, which Alexander McQueen will be honoured with this year, amongst his four time winning Designer Of The Year.

But er... who put Victoria Beckham up for this? I don't believe her effort is competitive within the wonderful world of British Fashion, or stood up next to talent of the up and coming designers and their potential. Step aside lady.
